Our Philosophy
The tagline in our logo, Esse Quam Videri, is the North Carolina state motto. Translated as “To be rather than to seem,” it originates from Cicero’s essay on friendship and defines our exact operational philosophy. We prioritize honest action over performative optics. Progressive public health requires delivering practical resources and unwavering support directly to communities in crisis. We focus on executing effective health strategies that save lives instead of performing for external validation. The interventions we provide are grounded entirely in the reality of the people we serve.
